Bald Eagle

The bald eagle is the national symbol of the United States. Once threatened with extinction, the bald eagle has recovered and has been removed from the endangered species list. Today, it is protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act and the Bald Eagle Protection Act. All Bald Eagles are owned by the United States Fish and Wildlife Service. The Memphis Zoo displays its trio of Eagles in Northwest Passage. The Zoo has exhibited bald eagles since 1979. All of our eagles recovered from injuries received in the wild, but were unable to be returned to the wild. They came to us from The American Eagle Foundation, Reel foot Lake State Park and the TWRA.

Note: On all adopt levels over $25, we charge a shipping fee of $5.00 to mail the plush.
